YouTube channel: Mary Baillie Art

My YouTube channel, 'Mary Baillie Art' has now been live since November and a variety of videos of work have just been added recently. I've discovered the joys of 'varnishing' and what it lends to enhancing oil paintings. View the videos and you can see how the varnish brings out the intensity of the paint colours. Before you can varnish, you have to leave the painting to dry ie oxidise for a minimum of 6 months. The thickness of the paint will also determine how soon you can apply varnish. Too soon, and the paint can crack and you will ruin your work.
